upholstered in green velvet, on cabriole legs headed by anthemions suspending ribbon-tied wreaths, on hairy paw feet headed by a beaded girdle
Condition
An good copy of a famous model, these chairs are in overall very good condition. There is some minor scuffs and chips to the gilding noticeably to the feet but otherwise they are ready to place.

These chairs are direct copies of a pair of armchairs supplied to Sir Laurence Dundas for 19 Arlington Street. The original commission given by Robert Adam to Thomas Chippendale remains one of the grandest and most expertly executed suites of English furniture to have ever been made.
