Condition

Overall measurements; 448cm across the top, 448 across the bottom, 740cm along the left side, 735cm across the right side. Generally even dense 1cm pile overall, shiny lustrous wool. Some areas of discolouration to the field. The carpet has been repaired across the width at one end, with repairs to horizontal splits and areas of weakness now stable, as visible across the width of the carpet through the motif of the pendant floral bouquet (double set of horizontal lines) and continuing through the border. The border designs in these repaired areas do not match. There is a hole, possibly burn mark, circular form within the lower right quadrant. There are some surface marks in areas. It would benefit from a clean and has a good spacious design, in particular to the border.
