Description

  • 82cm. high., 96.5cm. wide., 50cm. deep; 2ft. 8¼in., 3ft. 2in., 1ft 7¾in.
of serpentine bombé form with three long drawers on scrolled feet inlaid with strapwork motifs, the interior back panel signed in pencil and dated 1907; mounts regilt

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Evidence of restoration to the lock in the past. Old very minor restorations to the veneer. Some old very minor marks and stains and scratches. There are some vertical cracks in both sides, one of which has been restored in the past but is opening up again and would benefit from some minor attention. The inscription on the inside of the carcass on the back reads 'Completed by Master carpenter NJ Johansson, Kalmar the 23rd June 1907' it also says that the carpenter was 73 years old.
