Athena
Scattered age cracks and construction cracks through the body as visable from photograph. Some minor losses to carving and also to gilding which has been touched up in places with gilt paint and it is possible that the head has been restored. Old marks, chips and scratches and the base has a vertical construction crack in each side as visible from the catalogue photograph which will need to be filled. There is an old restoration to the top of her head and a small hole there possibly for a previous fixing. The shield has been restored. The thumb and forefinger have been restored. There are two iron hooks in the back.
Hercules
Old marks, chips and scratches. There are construction cracks and scattered age cracks generally as visible from the catalogue photograph. His right arm and the club have been restored with evidence of old worm to the club which appears to be no longer active. There is a diagonal vertical crack in the base as visible from the catalogue photograph which would benefit from attention.
