en forme de montagne dentelée, une face sculptée de Shoulao avançant à l'aide d'un bâton, accompagné de son jeune serviteur, vers un prunier en fleur, l'autre de deux grues au repos sous un pin, la pierre tachetée d'inclusions blanches

Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The boulder is in overall very good condition. There are minute nicks to some of the raised parts of the carving. There is an old yellow paper inventory label stuck on one side (visible in the catalogue illustration). The stone is a less grey and true celadon tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
