Provenance
Acquired from Drouot, Paris, 19th and 20th February 1934, lot 89.
Condition
The boxes and covers are in overall very good condition. The jade of both boxes and covers differs, the box and cover on the left in the catalogue illustration is of a darker green colour with black patches. The box and cover on the right in the catalogue illustration is of a lighter stone that is slightly translucent. There is minor fritting around the rims of both boxes and covers and the edges and tip of the beaks of both quails.
