Condition
The head is in overall very good condition.
It is heavily and quite finely cast with crisp details. The seams where the different parts of the mould joined are visible. It is firmly attached to the stone base, the inside filled halfway up with hardened cement-like matter. There are traces of gesso, gold paint and red pigment.
