Description

  • Bronze
reposant sur trois haut pieds à facettes légèrement arqués, la panse arrondie moulée en relief d'une bande de motifs archaïsants sur fond de leiwen, le bord planté de deux montants surmontés de coupoles, la base portant une marque à six caractères sigillaires Da Qing Qianlong nianzhi dans un rectangle en réserve

Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The vessel is heavily and finely cast, it is in overall very good condition with traces of wear around the the body, mouth and feet. The bronze is patinated to a deep brown with traces of light greenish-blue oxidation in the recessed areas of the cast design.
