Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The sceptre is in overall very good condition. There are a few scattered minute fritts to the raised parts and edges of the carved design. The colour of the stone is a little more celadon-green than the catalogue illustration suggests.
