Provenance

Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The jade is in overall good condition. There are a ca. 0.3 and a 0.5cm wide shallow chips to the edges of two leaves and some minor fritts to the raised parts of the carving. the tone of the jade is a little more greenish than the catalogue illustration suggests.
