Description

  • Ceramic
les côtés profonds reposant sur un court pied droit, entièrement recouvert à l'exception du rebord du pied d'une épaisse glaçure bleu-gris

Provenance

Acquired from Kochukyo, Tokyo, in the 1980s.

Condition

The bowl is in overall very good condition. There is a ca. 2 cm long restoration on the rim, possibly to cover up a small chip. There are several pin-point glaze pulls to the exterior of the bowl and a ca. 0.5cm large firing flaw to the rim. On the inside of the bowl the glaze is slightly pitted in one area. There is also some pitting to the glaze around the foot on the exterior of the bowl. The colour is a beautiful sky-blue with underlying tones of lavender thinning to a buff tone around the rim and collecting in thick drops around the foot.
