Condition
Both box and cover are in overall good condition. There are minute fritts to the rims of both box and cover and a ca. 0.3cm fritt to the rim of the cover. A light brown natural vein runs across the stone of the box and a brownish natural vein along the side of the cover. A small red paper label inscribed with the characters shi er hao (21) is to the centre of the box on the inside and a yellow paper label attached to the base and foot of the box. The stone is of a celadon tone. Cover and box fitt well.
The small box is also in overall good condition. There are minute fritts to the rims of both box and cover. The stone has scattered black specks across. Cover and box fit well.
