Provenance

Christie's Paris, 22nd November 2005, lot 205.

Condition

All corners of the everted rim have been touched up in the past. A ca. 14cm long part of the everted rim has been restored (only the everted part). The foot has been retouched around the inside and outside and where it joins the tray, and the corners slightly filled in on the inside of the base. There are minute losses to the mother-of-pearl inlays. The tray is very light, the black lacquer is suffused with crackles consistent with age.
