The painting has been relined ; no repaint visible with the UV lamp ; the painting is in good condition but a little bit dirty, and would benefit of a light cleaning.

Prieur-Bardin visita la Turquie au début des années 1890, avant de s'installer à Constantinople où il vécut jusqu'en 1901. Il exposa de nombreuses vues de Constantinople et de Turquie, dans les galeries de la ville.
