Condition

The panel is sound and the colours are fresh. Close examination reveals scratches and abrasions perhaps inherent to the grattage technique, and two pinholes in the upper section of the right edge. There are some thin lines of craquelure in the upper half of the composition. Under UV light, a network of lines fluoresces in the upper right quadrant, with a strip of retouching along the upper edge and some further strokes elsewhere in the sky. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition.
