turned to his right, with mature face, firmly set lips, fragmentary aquiline nose, furrowed brow, and short wavy hair, the back carved flat.

Condition

As shown. Note abraded eyebrows and missing nose formerly restored, probably in plaster, as shown in late 19th century catalogue. Chipped ear rims probably restored in plaster. The flat back is roughly worked and appears to be an ancient surface. There is a pick mark in the center of the back. Surface weathered with minor chips and abrasions overall.
