Description

  • A Marble Head of Isis-Io
  • Marble
  • Height 6 1/8 in. 15.5 cm.
turned to her left, with parted lips, almond-shaped eyes with incised irises and dotted pupils, and diminutive horns, her finely-drilled wavy hair parted in the center, a small circular mortise with remains of an iron tenon on top of the head for attachment of the missing crown, the back carved flat.
