Condition

Generally in good condition, with surface dirt and grime; scattered frame abrasion and few small areas of paint loss, including in the roof tops at right. Under ultraviolet light: no apparent inpainting.

Catalogue Note

Lumber Wharf was completed for the Massachusetts section of the Federal Art Project of the Works Progress Administration in 1936.  Lazzell also completed a color wood block print of this composition at the same time.
