Catalogue Note

Commissioned in 1913 as a garden fountain for an estate in Westchester, New York, the model for Frog Chorus (Pan) was exhibited both at the National Academy of Design later the same year and at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco in 1915.  The work was ultimately cast in three versions (at 56, 30 and 15 inches high) by both the Gorham Foundry and Roman Bronze Works.
