Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Old loss to proper left ear. Section of chin and mouth broken and glued with some fill around the crack. Mirror over proper right eye cracked. Scattered shallow insect damage with some areas of loss and wax fill. Age cracks, including one down the spine on the reverse, also with wax fill. Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, and small chips and cracks consistent with age and use. Four holes under integrally-carved plinth, two with nails for attachment to modern base. Exceptionally fine rubbed glossy reddish brown patina.
