Condition

The shield has had no repair or restoration. Some areas of pigment loss with the engraved designs to the front of the shield. There are two old cracks in the timber running longitudinally for approximately 12 cm above the handle and 20 cm below the handle. These are not visible in the catalogue illustration. The crack is approximately 1 cm deep, and shows traces of old glue residue. Sold with a custom wall mount which enables the shield to 'float' out from the wall.
