Condition
Overall in excellent condition. Please note the measurements of this desk as it is large in scale. This desk is designed as a partners desk and is therefore fitted with an opening and drawers on both sides. The surface presents with beautifully detailed figuring throughout and great color variation with ranging from rich dark browns to lighter caramel hues to the rosewood. The desk is executed in a manner that also incorporates two distinct colorations to the rosewood and the contrast creates wonderful depth within the work, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The wooden surfaces present with a few scattered minor surface scratches, a few minor abrasions consistent with age and gentle use and very light fading from sun exposure. The side of the desk not shown in the catalogue illustration is fitted with a central drawer, and a drawer and larger lower compartment to the each side of the pedestal. The large compartments are each fitted with two adjustable shelves. With one key. The metal surfaces with minor surface scratches and light discoloration consistent with gentle use and the natural aging process of the material. A wonderful desk with impressive scale and presence when viewed firsthand.
