Condition
Overall excellent original condition. This sideboard with a wonderful free-form front edge that contrasts beautifully with the linear decorations of the doors. The top of this sideboard with richly colored figuring and wonderful detailing to the dovetail joints. The top surface of the sideboard with very minor surface scratches, edge abrasions and a few minute discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The current condition of the table reflects the care and condition of the current owner. The center compartment of the interior is fitted with four drawers and a single fixed shelf. The proper left compartment with two adjustable shelves and the proper left with a single adjustable shelf. The proper left compartment is presently lacking the original shelf pins. The reverse of the case is finished and the sideboard therefore does not need to be used against a wall. A wonderful form showcasing the master craftsmanship of Nakashima.
