Literature

Poulsen, op. cit., pp. 168-169 for a period sketch of this model, pp. 174-175 for an example and discussions of the hanging frame

Condition

Overall very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. Smallest shade is very slightly off-round and with some surface residue which may or may not improve with professional attention. The centre and top shades with some oxidation concentrated on the outer rim as is consistent with this material and age. Note the smallest shade retains a slightly more polished finished compared with the upper shades. Light marks and oxidation to the hanging frame. The hanging system with light scattered scratches and oxidation concentrated on the cap. Presents very well overall. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
