Condition

Overall very good condition consistent with age and use. The brass surface with faint surface scratches and minor surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. A few very minor dents concentrated to the relief portions of the design. Minor oxidizing of the brass concentrated around the foot of the lamp. Sotheby’s does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.

Catalogue Note

The 'Caleidoscopi' collection, designed by Gabriella Crespi in 1970, included floor lamps, table lamps and wall sconces in various dimensions.  The offered lot is the second version of the 'Caleidoscopi' floor lamp, which was made in three different heights, with twelve examples produced in each size.
