surmounted by a rouge de Campan marble top, the door opening to six sliding drawers

Condition

Marble top with some chips and abrasions to edges. Minor areas of infill. Gilt bronze with surface dirt and oxidation. Escutheon loose, recommend securing. Veneers have a shiny polish finish. Small chips and nicks to edges. Interior fitted with six open drawers, one with a restored age crack to drawer front. Overall in good condition.

Maison Grimard was  recorded Fabricants Ébénistes d'Art at 5, rue de Charonne, Paris. Two vitrines de Salon by Grimard with similar overflowing flower-filled vase mounts were offered Sotheby's New York, October 30, 2013, lot 303 and Christie's London, September 22, 2011, lot 200.
