Condition
Overall in good original condition with the usual wear to the patina in places especially to high reliefs of the composition and such consistent with handling, touching, and cleaning. Light scratches consistent with age. Two drilled holes to back of base. Tarnishing to silver.

Auguste was the third son of the painter Jean-Baptiste Moreau and, like his brothers Mathurin and Hippolyte, he became a prolific sculptor of decorative mythological and pastoral compositions.
