Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Under ultra-violet light there are spots and areas of uneven fluorescence, notably in the rocks and shore in the foreground, the distant central hill, and parts of the sky; this unusual appearance under U.V. light would appear more likely to relate to a previous cleaning of the work or the artist's pigments, however it is possible that some of this could correspond to retouching. The overall appearance of the painting under normal light is good and it is ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
