Condition
The canvas has been relined. There is some localised, faint hairline craquelure. Ultra-violet light reveals notably a handful of scattered minor spots of retouching to the figures, including a circa 10cm thin vertical repair just below the centre of the composition in a thigh of one of the women (faintly discoloured and visible under close inspection to the naked eye); the varnish layers in the background fluoresce more opaquely, however there do not appear to be other significant retouchings. This work is in good overall condition.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
