Condition

The canvas is unlined. There is a patch on the reverse relating to a small vertical repair in the bank towards the right edge of the composition, and a few very minor tiny spots of abrasion in the near bank in the foreground. Under ultra-violet light there are some areas of uneven light fluorescence in the sky which possibly relate to the varnish or artist's medium rather than retouching. This painting is in good overall condition. Presented in a simple wood frame with a gilt inner liner.
