Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This work on canvas has a rather heavy wax lining at present. It may be worthwhile to reverse this lining. The work may also be dirty. Although restorations may not be apparent under ultraviolet light, there are some areas in the green foliage, particularly in the lower left quadrant, which may have received some retouches in the past. It is not unusual for Corot's paint layer to be thinly applied in these areas, but some further thinness may have developed over time.
