Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Alvarez Fine Art Services, Inc.: Overall this pastel on paper, on canvas is in good condition and does not present any tears or paper losses. The paper is mounted to a secondary paper support (probably with an aqueous adhesive) stretched over a canvas which is stretched on a strainer. Exposure to humidity over time has caused mild buckling at the corners. Visually, the paper is mildly oxidized from contact with acidic material and a natural process of aging due to light exposure. In the upper right quadrant there are two small indentations and two scratches in the surface; most probably from a broken glass. Subtle vertical lines in the sky could possibly be artist changes. Otherwise, the pigments appear to be rich and undisturbed.
