Overall the condition of the marble is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few very small stains due to naturally occurring inclusions, including to the nymph's proper right arm. There is minor veining to the marble consistent with the material, notably below the nymph's chest and shoulder on her proper left side, and to the satyr's proper right shoulder blade. There is some yellowish staining to the rock work, and there are a few very minor specks of dirt, including to the nymph's proper left wrist. There are a few small chips and abrasions, in particular to the bottom edge at the back.
