Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is some tarnishing to the silvering in several areas, and in particular to the foot of the vase. There is some rubbing to the silvering, including in the faces. There is minor pitting in a few areas, including to the faces and one of the dolphins. There are a few small lacunae, including to below the upper rim. There is particular dirt, probably remnants of silver polish, to the crevices.
