Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is rubbing to the patina at the high points, notably in the face. There are a few lacunae, in particular around the edges of the truncation. There are a few nicks and scratches, including to the forehead and cheeks. There is some dark staining to the patina at the truncation. There is particular dirt to the crevices of the hair. There is greening to the crevices at the front of the bronze socle.
