Overall the condition of the marble is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The bird's wings and tail have been restored. There is some minor veining to the marble consistent with the material. There are a few naturally occurring inclusions; one of these, at the drapery in her left arm has been filled. There is some brown staining to the base, and there are chips and abrasions to the bottom edge of the base.
