Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is particular dirt to the crevices, and there are several moisture stains, in particular to the front of the drapery and to the proper left side. There are a few splashes of white paint, notably to her back, the proper left elbow, and the drapery at the proper left side. There is some wear to the patina and gilding, in particular in the decorations of the dress. There are a few scratches, including to the front of the headdress, the drapery at the proper right buttock, and the bronze base. Overall the ivory is in good condition with some dirt in the crevices. There is minor splitting consistent with the material, notable to the sides of the mouth and nose, and to the proper left hand. The modern wood base is in good condition with particular dirt to one side.
