Condition
Overall the condition of the marble is good with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age; there is particular dirt in the crevices. There is a loss running across the front edge of the tambourine. There are several dirt marks, including to the proper right side of the woman's hair and neck, her proper left hand, the Faun's proper right lower leg, his proper left knee, his tail, and to the terrasse. There are a few naturally occurring inclusions, including to the woman's proper left shoulder and her thighs and hip. There is some veining to the marble consistent with the material, notably to the woman's proper left thigh. There are a few chips and losses to the edges of the marble base.
