- cold painted bronze, with coloured glass inserts and ivory tusks, electrified
Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are minor areas of tarnishing to the gilding. There are a few nicks and scratches to the lantern panels. There is a loss to one of the rays of the sun, and some of the rays are slightly warped. There is particular dirt to the cushion at the proper right side. There is particular dirt to the glass panels at the top; otherwise they are in good condition. The ivory is in good condition with minor stable splitting consistent with the material. The proper left tusk is slightly loose. The tusk on the proper right side of the elephant is paler than the other.
