Condition

Movement running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Chime is in phase but is tinny. Case is in good condition with modification to the slide area to create a hole for louder sound. Bow with wear to the interior from a chain. Light scratches overall. Dial in good condition with some wear and scratches, oxidized overall. Central hands have been replaced with contemporary hands. Movement in good condition with slight coloration and some scratches, most notably on the central and repeat bridges.

Catalogue Note

Accompanied by the original receipt from A L'Emeraude, Lausanne, dated 28 July 1924 for watch number 28979. At the time the watch was sold for 4,500 Francs.

Audemars Piguet confirms production of this watch in 1921 and sale in Switzerland on 1923.
