Condition
Original canvas. There appear to be some discoloured retouchings to the surface, mainly in the sky but also near the calves and the children; otherwise the work appears sound overall.
Under ultraviolet light there appear to be some retouchings that correspond to the above.
Held in a gilt plaster frame.
