The sheet is a little cockled and slightly dirty, otherwise in overall good condition.
Held under glass in a wood frame with a cream mount; unexamined out of frame.

Catalogue Note
In the 1840s Millais was a frequent visitor to the home of Lemprière family at Rozel in Jersey. This scene apparently depicts Captain Lemprière, R.H.A. at the Battle of Fuentes de Ouro.
