Catalogue Note

This famous cartographic curiosity was published at the outbreak of the war, depicting some of the main protagonists as dogs, including the British bulldog, French poodle, German dachshund and Austrian mongrel. Russia is depicted as a road-roller, with the Czar at the controls, and a British sailor controls the Royal Navy in the manner of a puppet master.
