4to (184 x 132mm.), 174 leaves, [a4 b-x8 y10], 31-33 lines, gothic type, 3-line initial spaces with printed guides, 150 woodcut botanical illustrations with contemporary hand-colouring, blank impression of the woodcut from fol. 138 at foot of title-page, nineteenth-century vellum in period style, early annotations in several different hands, quire g slightly shaved at foot of fore-edge, a few paper tears repaired without loss (including folios 14, 57, 62 and 64), lower corner of fol. 108 replaced with a few words supplied in facsimile, some leaves with printed foliation shaved
