Catalogue Note
A fascinating group of photographs showing ancient cultural and archaeological sites in northern China. There is a good amount of illustration of the Song dynasty imperial tombs at Gongyi in Henan province. The photographs were taken around 1908-12 by various named photographers, including A. Depaifve, Sprudyt, and E. Slosse.
