RARE EARLY PHOTOGRAPHS OF CHINA AND TAIWAN, INCLUDING IMAGES OF THE EUROPEAN PALACES AT YUANMINGYUAN, comprising: 24 images of Peking (Beijing) by or attributed to Thomas Child (about 20 signed in the negative, some dated), and 5 others of Peking and the Great Wall, including architectural studies of temples, buildings, the Imperial City, Summer Palace, etc., together with 10 images of Tientsin (one signed and dated by See Tay, 1886), and 8 of Tamsui in Formosa (Taiwan).
