The photographs, the majority by Samuel Bourne, cover large parts of India, including Allahabad, Cawnpore, Lucknow, Agra, Secunda, Delhi, Gwalior, Lahore, Peshawar, Bombay, Darjeeling, Simla, Kashmir, Wanga Valley, Kulu, Spiti, Ootacamund, Tanjore and Trichinoply, together with a few photographs each of Burma and Ceylon at the end.
