LARGE PAPER COPY, third edition of volume one, second edition of volume 2, bound with the FIRST EDITION of the later supplement for each volume, together in 2 volumes, 8vo (256 x 161mm.), additional engraved portrait of the author by Ranson after Nicholson, numerous woodcut illustrations, green morocco gilt by Bedford, covers with three gilt fillet borders interspersed with leafy sprays and cornerpieces, spine densely tooled gilt in six compartments, lettered in two, gilt edges and turn-ins
