The author of this work is erroneously identified by Ogilby, the translator and editor, as Albertus Montanus on the title page. According to Löwendahl this English edition contains some material not included in the original Dutch edition published in 1670.



This copy of this profusely illustrated work has most of the plates and many of the illustrations coloured by a modern hand.
