Folio (360 x 250mm.), double-page engraved general key map of Bavaria and 24 engraved maps on 22 double-page sheets,  if joined forming a wall-map of Bavaria of Bavaria , mostly with engraved borders, Latin title on map 3, German title on map 8, fine contemporary body colour, [Karrow 82.6B], old vellum wallet style binding



Apian undertook a survey of Bavaria between 1554 and 1561, the manuscript being completed in 1563. A printed edition from 24 woodcuts was published in 1568 and Weiner then produced an engraved version also in 24 sheets in 1579 with accompanying index map,
